MITRE San Diego Site Expansion
Secure Cabling Buildout for West Coast Operations
Netcom was selected to support MITRE’s secure San Diego facility, delivering a full-scale cabling infrastructure upgrade across 4,000 sq. ft. of classified operational space.
Our installation included:
23 new 12-strand OM4 multimode fiber runs for unclassified networks
46 new 6-strand OM4 multimode fiber runs for classified networks
Secure surface raceway deployment for desktop locations
Overhead cable support utilizing ceiling-hung wire basket systems and J-hooks
Termination in telecom rooms via high-density fiber enclosures mounted to new two- and three-bay cabinets
Additional scope included:
65 security devices (cameras, card readers, motion sensors)
23 Cat6A WAP cables for wireless coverage
Backbone OM4 fiber between telecom rooms
This project demonstrated Netcom’s ability to deliver secure, high-performance cabling systems in compact yet mission-critical federal facilities.
