Netcom continues to be an emerging player in this market and has an aggressive growth plan to penetrate the federal market providing Structured Cabling, Electrical and IP Video services. FBI – Mission Ridge

Highlights:
2,000 Multi-Mode fiber CPE connections and 8000 Category 6A Shielded copper CPE connections and fiber and copper backbone connections to 12 Telecommunication Rooms. Netcom has an extremely compressed window for delivery on this project of 3 months. We are currently on pace to meet that deadline.


Tyndall AFB

Highlights:
Over 15 runs of outside plant copper and fiber cable linking various buildings on the base. This also includes an NCC relocation as well as server virtualization.


USAMRIID – Fort Detrick

Highlights:
The installation includes over 9000 Category 6 copper workstation connections, fiber, copper and video backbone connections to over 14 Telecommunication Rooms. An In-Building Wireless System (DAS) to provide 100% coverage of all areas of the facility for cellular service is part of the scope as well.


USAMRICD – Aberdeen PG

Highlights:
Over 4000 Category 6 copper workstation connections and over 1000 fiber optic connections. Also included was the installation of copper and fiber optic outside plant cable.


C2/CNT HQ – Aberdeen PG

Highlights:
The installation included over 42,000 Single-mode fiber connections, 7000 Category 6 copper workstation connections and fiber and copper backbone connections to 18 Telecommunication Rooms.


Defense Media HQ – Fort Meade

Highlights:
This installation included over 7400 Category 6A STP copper workstation connections, 2400 Video connections and both fiber and copper backbone connections to over 14 Telecommunication Rooms.


Army National Guard HQ – Arlington, VA

Highlights:
15,700 Single-Mode fiber workstation connections, 6500 Category 6 copper workstation connections and fiber backbone connections and copper backbone connections to over 12 Telecommunication Rooms.


Defense Intelligence Agency – Bolling Airforce Base, Washington, DC

Highlights:
This installation included over 2000 Un-Secure Consolidation Points w/8 Category 6 cables and over 1500 Secure Consolidation Points w/24 MM Fiber Strands. Netcom successfully worked to a nine month installation window.


ITA Data Center – Pentagon, Washington, DC
Year of Completion: 2007
Dollar Value: $5.3M

Highlights:
Netcom designed and implemented an IP Based Access Control (ACS) and Video Surveillance system to support 150+ critical systems IT cabinets in a high secure data center at the Pentagon. The ACS provided cabinet level access to both the front and rear doors of over 100 NIPR and 45 SIPR equipment cabinets. This system was backed up by an IP Base Video Surveillance system that monitored all areas of the data center. The system provided for management and viewing of live and recorded video from within the Pentagon and from any authorized device that had access to the network from any location outside of the Pentagon.


Navy

Various projects at Andrews AFB, Washington Navy Yard and Dahlgren Naval Surface Warfare Center installing inside and outside plant copper for NIPRNet (Unclassified), SIPRNet, JWICS and TS (Classified) systems.


Customs and Border Protection
Years of Program: 2005-2007

Highlights:
Netcom teamed with an 8(a) prime contractor to support the nationwide structured cabling requirements of the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. Netcom supported 900 CBP locations and at one time performed over 56 concurrent cabling task orders. Support included site surveys, material acquisition, cable plant installation and documentation using AutoCAD.


Department of Interior (DOI)
Years of Program: 2002- Present
Dollar Value: Approx. $6M

Highlights:
Netcom has been the infrastructure contractor for the Department of the Interior’s historic six phase renovation project since the program began in 2002. The installation included voice, data and video cable infrastructure to over 2000 user workstations in Wings 4, 5 and 6 of the building. The value of this work has been in excess of $3.0M. Another wing is slated to start in 2014.

In 2009, DOI through cooperation with Grunley Construction, approached Netcom to prime the remaining three phases of this project directly via our GSA Schedule 70 contract. We finished Wing 3 in 2010, Wing 2 was completed in 2011 and the final phase (Wing 1) is scheduled for completion is 2015. These three phases of this project will involves the over 9000 Category 6 connections to 2000 user workstations. This installation also involves the installation of Sumitomo FutureFLEX® Air-Blown Fiber Cabling System. The dollar value of the work will be in excess of $3.0M.


Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP)

BEP has been a key customer to Netcom for over 15 years. We have completed many projects large and small there through the years. We continue to provide a high level of customer service and will for many years to come.


Department of Transportation HQ
Year of Completion: 2005

Highlights:
Netcom teamed together with QSSI (an 8a Company) to propose, win and perform the cable plant installation for DOT’s new Headquarter Facility on M Street SW, Washington, DC. The installation included over 15,000 Category 6 copper workstation connections, a DAS system for in-building cellular coverage and fiber and copper backbone connections to 30 Telecommunication Rooms. Netcom provided a large portion of the labor content and the overall Project Management on this year long project. The contract value overall for the team was $16.5M.


FAA

Highlights:
Netcom was a first tier subcontractor to Johnson Control Security Services on their multi-year contract to upgrade Access Control and Video Surveillance Systems for the FAA.

Highlights:
Netcom installed new DC power systems at several FAA sites both CONUS and OCONUS. Netcom installed the new system then performed the cut over to that new system for a seamless transition.


ATFE

Highlights:
Netcom was issued a task order from the General Services Administration (GSA) to design and implement an information transport system to support voice, data and video communication requirements for the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agency at their new multi-building headquarters complex in Washington, DC. The transport system was designed to support 24 Telecommunications Rooms (TR’s) and 2 diverse Main Distribution Frames (MDF’s) in the South, East, and North Buildings of the campus. The transport system was comprised of fiber optics, twisted pair copper and coaxial broadband cabling. Also included was the installation and termination of over 5000 Category 5E workstation copper connections as well as an “In-Building Wireless” system to support cellular users within the facility.


Social Security Administration (SSA)
Years of Program: 2006- Present
Dollar Value: Approx. $20M

Highlights:
Netcom is a major subcontractor to Avaya Government Solutions in support of SSA’s VOIP migration under the Telephone System Replacement Program (TSRP). Netcom performs front end site feasibility, infrastructure validation, cable plant installation, de-installation and disposal of old equipment, relocations of SSA offices and on-call telephony “smart hands” maintenance. This support is performed at 1600 nationwide SSA field offices nationwide. The subcontract is for ten (10) years and is valued at $20M.


COMMERCIAL

Verizon
Netcom is a major subcontractor for Verizon Federal in support of their MWAA Contract that supports both Washington National and Washington Dulles airports. Some notable accomplishments on the MWAA contract include the new Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Project where Netcom installed new fiber & copper outside plant backbone cable to connect the new International Tower at Dulles to the rest of the airport. The contract was valued at over $1.0M. Netcom also performed the installation for the emergency telephone system throughout the new Tram system at Dulles. This includes both communications and power cabling. This contract was valued at over $700K. Netcom installed all new cable and electronics hardware to upgrade the CATV system at both Dulles and National. The quality of the video was dramatically improved with this new system. The value of this contract was in excess of $500K.

Iron Bow
Netcom was selected by Iron Bow to partner with them to provide a new Category 6e cable plant for the Federal Counts Building in Washington, DC. The installation required four (4) Category 6e cables to over 600 workstation locations and new fiber backbone to eighteen (18) Telecommunications Rooms (TR’s). Cutovers to the new cable plant were performed over the weekends by floor for this functioning office. Additionally, we installed 1300 Category 6 cables in their Reston Data Center. Another project for Iron Bow was the IRS regional headquarters in Denver where we installed over 2000 cables and approximately 75 IP speakers to work with their CISCO IP phone system. Netcom has also performed cable installations nationwide on Iron Bow’s IRS/CPC contract.

Fannie Mae
Fannie Mae is one of Netcom’s flagship customer and we have been providing IT services to Fannie Mae for over 18 years. Those services were originally cable infrastructure installation as they grew and expanded operations through the 90’s and early 2000’s. Netcom has provided those services to Fannie Mae at all of their 14 facilities in the Washington, DC area and other offices around the country. Netcom has added VoIP deployment/MAC support and Level 1 Call center support to its offering of service to Fannie Mae. These services have been on-going for the last 15 years at the DC base facilities.

MITRE
Netcom Technologies had been awarded a 2nd five year contract to provide communications infrastructure support services to include all communications cabling for MITRE’s primary campus in Mclean, VA and MITRE field site locations throughout the United States. Installations ranged in size from 20 drops to projects in excess of 1000 drops. All workstation cabling consists of 4 Category 6 cables and 4 strands of MM fiber. Additionally, Netcom installs communications cabling within SCIF’s at MITRE facilities. Netcom’s finish package included CAD drawings, test results in both hard and soft copy, final acceptance signoff, and manufacturer’s warranty. Most recently Netcom is performing the design/build for the new MITRE IV building which is slated to start in 2015.

Lockheed Martin
Netcom Technologies is the preferred contractor for infrastructure cabling and electrical installations at Lockheed Martin’s Gaithersburg campus. Installations range from several telecommunications cabling drops to full floor installations as well as running of several circuits to full electrical system installations, demo and upgrades. A notable project that Netcom performed at Lockheed Martin included a design/build for the UPS / PDU systems with new emergency generated feeds. All of the outdated UPS / PDU systems were removed, including the transformers that originally supplied power to the units when current was lost to the buildings.


STATE AND LOCAL

Montgomery County Public Schools

MCPS has been one of Netcom’s longest standing customers now at over 20 years of service. Services we provide to MCPS cover four of our vertical offerings; Structure Cabling, IP Security, Electrical and Technical Staffing. We perform cable plant installations at High, Middle and Elementary Schools in support of their school-wide network. We are the selected vendor of MCPS to support their Video surveillance initiative both High and Middle Schools. That system currently supports over 4000 IP Based cameras attached to an NVR system and central command center. We provide technical staffing as needed to meet their overflow work requirement.

Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission

Netcom has a multi-year contract for structured cabling at facilities in the DC Metro area.

Rockville District Courthouse
Year of Completion: 2011
Dollar Value: $2.2M

Highlights:
Netcom installed a full IP security system at the Rockville District Courthouse. This included full Access Control, Intrusion Detection and IP Video Surveillance Systems.
